Constitutional Law

With the world in a state of uncertainty and concepts like freedom, rights, and patriotism being discussed nightly, students should revisit the Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights, in more depth, both to better understand its history and to conceptualize what it will do for their future.
The Constitutional law chapter is unique in that it offers students two different vignettes to discuss. Some of the ideas being addressed include:

  • How the Bill of Rights was formed and what its components are;
  • Why the First Amendment is both so important and controversial;
  • How the right to vote is protected by the Constitution and what that means to the individual; and
  • What is the purpose of the Amendments and how are they applied today?
